TRAIN: We are a 1-2 minute walk away from Charing Cross Station. Exit the station and turn left onto Elmbank Crescent. Walk past the multi-storey car park and turn right into Elmbank Street. The shop is about 75m down the street on the right.
It is also only a 5 minute walk from Anderston Station. If you come out of the station and head up underneath the kingston bridge passing the Hilton Hotel and Abbey building, turn right onto St Vincent Sreet and Elmbank St is first on the left.
CAR: From the M8 westbound, take the Charing Cross exit Keep left into Sauchiehall Street and turn right into Elmbank Street at the first set of lights. We are about 200m down on the right. From the M8 eastbound, take the City Centre exit. At the lights, turn left, left & right. We are about 100m on the left. There is metered parking out the front, or an NCP carpark situated behind the petrol station.
BUS: First Glasgow services X1, 9, 11, 16, 18, 44, 57 and others all pass close to the shop.

|  | Maestro Card Issue Number Many people are asking why they cannot enter their Maestro Card details properly. When entering your details it may ask you for an issue number. The chances are that it does not have one so please enter the number 1. Normally its only Natwest, HSBC and Clydesdale Bank cards that have these. |
| Membership Number In order to purchase any Official Scout badges you must enter your full membership number. This can be located on your warrant, address label on Scouting Magazine, via your AC/DC or GSL. Occasionally we may run out of a particular item. If this is the case it will automatically be sent on to you when it comes back into stock. There will be no further cost to yourself and you will not be charged for the item untill it is being despatched by us. If our suppiers have stock of what you need we should restock in about 10 days to a fortnight, (if not sooner). (Neckies will take a lot longer, please see below.) If there is going to be a lengthy delay on an item we will try to let you know by email. | Where are my neckies?
As you can imagine, there are so many styles and combinations of colours. Because of this, limited stocks of neckies can be kept. We of course try to keep as many as we can of styles that we know to be popular but it is impossible to predict large sales that could clean us out!
If we are out of stock of your neckie they can take about 6- 8 weeks to be delivered. The reason for this is that they are manufactured to order. The delivery time can vary depending on how many neckies are in production. There are only so many sewing machines!
Please be patient! Our advice to avoid disapointment is for groups to order a stock of neckies in good time for investitures. Make sure you have enough spare for those that get lost or for newcomers during the season. Be Prepared!
When your neckies get to us they will automatically be sent on to you. You won't be charged for them untill we are despatching them. | Why can't I add an item I see on line to my 'cart'?
The item may not available to us at that time. More often than not there will have been a supply problem. We either can't get sufficient stocks or are unable to tell when we will be restocked. This happens most often with badges. To save customer back-orders mounting up we make the item unavailable. The item will be available again on line when it is available to us. 1st change since 2005! Due to postal cost increases we have had to rethink our shipping charges. Unfortunately they have had to increase. We have thought long and hard about the best way to deal with this.
We weathered the storm at the last big hike in cost and didn't change our prices at all. In fact, the last time an increase was forced we only did so by a very small margin. We know this is a very unpopular thing to do and we hate having to do it. This time though, it has to be done! The problem we have is that we serve not only groups buying in stocks of badges but those buying in stocks of uniform, books, resources and equipment. Also, we have to consider the individual parents who just need 1 sweatshirt or 1 neckie.
We have had a good look at the values and weights of orders that we have sent out over the past 6 months. There is a basic corelation between the value of an order and the weight of the package that is sent. The fairest way we can think to restructure the Standard Shipping prices is to base them on a rough 10% cost. This will spread the load of the postal price increase and help to maintain the low prices of the goods themselves. We believe that these prices are fair and realistic.
We have kept the badge order charges separate for those whom are purely ordering badges.

All goods are posted via Royal Mail or Parcel Force Services to mainland UK. We aim to post your order out the same day if placed before 15.00hrs, Monday - Friday. Orders placed after 15.00 should be despatched the next working day (Mon - Fri). A slight delay may occur if we are extremely busy, it may take an extra day or so for us to despatch it. We do our best to get your order on its way to you as fast as we can and we are commended on the speed of our service.
Royal Mail aim to deliver 1st class items within 1 working day and 2nd class within 3. Parcels are items weighing between 1kg and 20kg and should be delivered within 3 - 5 working days. (Please bear this in mind when ordering several items of uniform or larger stock lines. (A single scout shirt weighs almost 500g.)
24 hour next day delivery service within the UK is available. However, it may not always be possible. The price of delivery will include our first class p&p charge plus a surcharge. This will be dependent on the nature and weight of the goods. Please phone the shop to see if this service is available. If it is, we will get back to you to confirm the extra cost of delivery. Please remember that guaranteed deliveries must be signed for.
Overseas Mail.
Any packages to be sent overseas will have the postage charge amended with regard to how much it costs us to send them. This will be depend on the weight of the parcel and the country it is to be sent. We will email you to confirm the postage charge before the order is despatched.
