Please that we have amended our charges due to the new Royal Mail prices as of April 7th 2008.
It is the first time we have altered the postage charges since 2005! We weathered the storm at the last big hike in cost and didn't change our prices at all. In fact, the last time an increase was forced we only did so by a very small margin. We know this is a very unpopular thing to do and we hate having to do it. This time it had to be done! The problem we have is that we serve not only groups buying in stocks of badges but those buying in stocks of uniform, books, resources and equipment. Also, we have to consider the individual parents who just need 1 sweatshirt or 1 neckie. We want to be as fair as we can to everyone.
We have had a good look at the values and weights of orders that we have sent out over the past 6 months. There is a basic corelation between the value of an order and the weight of the package that is sent. The fairest way we could think to restructure the Standard Shipping prices was to base them on a rough 10% cost. This spreads the load of the postal price increase and help to maintain the low prices of the goods themselves. We believe that these prices are fair and realistic.
We have kept the badge order charges separate for those whom are purely ordering badges.

We are trialing 4 normal delivery options which are automatically banded in relation to the value of the order.
1) STANDARD Delivery: (Royal mail 2nd class or parcel delivery.) (Basically 10%!)
a) Orders up to £30 - £2.99
b) Orders up to £40 - £3.99
c) Orders up to £50 - £4.99
d) Orders up to £60 - £5.99
e) Orders up to £70 - £6.99
f) Orders up to £80 - £7.99
g) Orders up to £90 -£8.99
h) Orders up to £100 - £9.99
i) Orders over £100 - FREE!
2) FAST Delivery: (Royal mail 1st class.)
As above, but with £2 added to each price band.
Orders over £100 - £2 .
Orders over £200: FREE
3) BADGE Order: (Royal mail 2nd class. This class of delivery will only be accepted if you are only purchasing badges. Any other items selected will result in full "Standard Delivery" charges being applied at time of despatch.)

4) FAST BADGE Order: (Royal Mail 1st class. This class of delivery will only be accepted if you are only purchasing badges. Any other items selected will result in full "Fast Delivery" charges being applied at time of despatch.)

All goods are posted via Royal Mail or Parcel Force Services to mainland UK. We aim to post your order out the same day if placed before 15.00hrs, Monday - Friday. Orders placed after 15.00 should be despatched the next working day (Mon - Fri). A slight delay may occur if we are extremely busy, it may take an extra day or so for us to despatch it. We do our best to get your order on its way to you as fast as we can and we are commended on the speed of our service.
Royal Mail aim to deliver 1st class items within 1 working day and 2nd class within 3. Parcels are items weighing between 1kg and 20kg and should be delivered within 3 - 5 working days. (Please bear this in mind when ordering several items of uniform or larger stock lines. (A single scout shirt weighs almost 500g.)
A guaranteed next day delivery service within the UK is available Monday to Friday. However, it may not always be possible. The price of delivery will include original p&p plus a surcharge. This will be dependent on the nature and weight of the goods. Please phone the shop to see if this service is available. If it is, we will get back to you to confirm the extra cost of delivery. Please remember that guaranteed deliveries must be signed for.
